Musiktheater von Anna-Sophie Mahler, basierend auf ihrer Recherche zum Thema Wald. Sie spannt einen Bogen vom romantischen Waldbild, dem Ort der Ruhe, Sehnsucht und Ängste, über die wirtschaftliche Nutzung der Wälder bis zum aktuellen Forschungsstand über das Zusammenspiel der Pflanzen, Pilze und Lebewesen im Wald.

Music theatre by Anna-Sophie Mahler, based on her research on the topic of the forest. She spans an arc from the romantic image of the forest, the place of tranquillity, longing and fears, to the economic use of forests and the current state of research on the interaction of plants, fungi and creatures in the forest.

Neben der Musik von Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert und Richard Strauss, arrangiert von Michael Wilhelmi, prägt der zweite Teil des Abends die Komposition “Triadic Memories” von Morton Feldman. Der Pianist Stefan Wirth spielt das rund 60-minütige Stück begleitet von raumgreifenden Projektionen von Georg Lendorff.

In addition to music by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss, arranged by Michael Wilhelmi, the second part of the evening is marked by the composition Triadic Memories by Morton Feldman.
